Wednesday 27th July - More pre season fixtures added

More pre season glamour ties have been added today, against Burton Ovary Bell on 14th Aug and against local enemies Queniborough Rangers on 21st August. Both games will be played at the home of football, the Stadium of Stars.

Tuesday 26th July 05 - Siging on Fees Due

All players wishing to complete the signing on process must have returned all moneies (£15) and forms to club officials by Tuesday 26th August as Squad numbers are due to be relaised, with fans gagging to get their favourites names and numbers printed on their shirts.....

Sunday 24th July 05 - Match Report

A good balanced game, where Thrussington looked more at home against fellow Division 5 team, Anstey Hounds. A battle which saw the Stars take the lead through Chid, but then throw away the lead to be down 2-1. Will Holloway, fluked in a crossed shot to even up the game.

Tuesday 19th July 05 - Team Members Warned....

The Club chairman has sent an icey blast out to all the current squad in a condeming shock horror letter. With The Club having to pay out over £450 in pitch fees, FA Afflilation, Player registrations, League Affiliations and Cup Match entry fees, footballs and kit , not to mention the usual £500+ on club fines, late fees etc, all players must now wipe there debts off by Tuesday 9th August 05 or face a further club tariff fine of £5

Saturday 16th July 05 Race Night...

WELL DONE to all club members who helped in anyway on or before for Saturday Night, both for setting up the night, collecting sponsorships, raffle prizes as well as helping to take money and sort things out on the night.
A fantastic £600+ was made which was a great amount , so well done all round, those people know who they are and deserve a big pat on the back, but special thanks to Will Holloway and Laura Eaton for a tremendous effort, as well as to the generous support from local businesses.

Friday 15th July 05 Old Legends seen ....

On friday night, rumours soon spread around the village that some of the greats of the past were once again drinking in the star. By 9pm there was a gaggle of village totty trying to get a sneak peek at former Stars Legends, rumoured to include Stabber Hughes back from the USA on a whirlwind autograph signing tour. Also in there helping remind the Yank what real beer tastes like were Diz Disney, Malcy Wade, Cheefy, Tel Ray FWit .... even some of the current squad including Will and Jan tried to get some of the old boys magic to rub off on them......

Wednesday 13th July - Old boys teach a lesson...

The first real run out of the preseason, in front of a good sized crowd, eager to see some of the new signings, were left dissapointed as former Stars founding memeber and legend, Tabbsy, lead his side of ageing superstars against the heros from Thrussington. Manager Chid headed lamelly over a stranded Daisy Del in goal, and a second was added whilst one of the mass substitutions was made. Tabbsy himself added a cool third , showing why he was once one of the villagers leading strikers.
